the staff were pleasant and room very good. dinner and breakfast very nice
Staff were friendly and always helpful.
Bathroom was very hot - bit of a waste of heat.
Beautiful location.Staff friendly. Breakfast good.
Staff lacked information about surrounding areas. We were asked if we wished to make a reservation for a meal in the evening, but they could not tell us what was on the menu!! Hotel looks very tired, decoration needs updating. Cobwebs on the ceiling, in the room we stayed in (put the light on, and look up)
We have stayed at the hotel before and have found it comfortable and good value. When we had to change our room this visit it was handled quite efficiently.
Room 220 should not be let in our view. The noise from the air conditioning units outside the window is very loud and they go on and off all night. We could not work out what the noise was until opening the window in daylight. We had a badly disturbed night's sleep. Although we were given another room for the next night the Duty Manager initially refused to reduce the charge arguing that we should have got up at 3.00 in the morning to ask for a room change! We are complaining to the General Manager about his attitude which seemed to assume that we were just trying it on. Until our recent experience we would ahve recommended the hotel, but don't accept room 220!
The staff were excellent and everything we asked for was provided. The spa was lovely with lovely fluffy white towels. I would also recommend Debbie's treatments, massages etc. All in all a great stay.
Generally left alone to own devices but staff available if required.
During my first night I had cause to visit the bathroom at 3-15am. When I turned off the bathroom light there was a flash and an almighty bang!! All the electrics had gone out. After resetting the trips in the room (a trip box over the door) I still had no electricity! Even the hotel phone did not work. I went back to bed in the dark. At 5-30am I phoned the hotel on my mobile! The duty member of staff reset the trip in the master trip-box. When booking out the receptionist sent for a member of the admin staff who did not appear to understand the seriousness of what had happened! What if....?
We were visiting Warwick Castle for an evening concert event. The Glebe Hoel was an ideal location and offered us a family room with gym and pool facilities
Location very good for Stratford and Warwick. It was a comfortable stay had evening meal in the restaurant which was a very good quality. On the whole for the budget not bad would recomend it.
Breakfast was another matter, not very well laid out always seemed to be in someones way and waited ages for eggs. Outside space could do with a bit more care and attention.
The hotel was lovely and set in a nice location. The rooms had plenty of space and the decor was tasteful. The food was very nice but larger portions would have been good for the men.
The breakfast bar was not replenished quick enough and when it was I.E. fried eggs, only four eggs were brought out and guests still had to wait. Also, there were four in our party and we only had three slices of toast and yet two in a party had three slices between them. The leisure facilities were not available and that was a great disappointment because we had planned to use the facilities. Also, we think that breakfast on the sunday could have finished later than 9.30 A.M. as some people do like to have a lay in on the weekend.
I thought that the staff were very helpful and went out of there way to meet my needs. I also heard them helping other guests who had missed breakfast and arranging something for them. They were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was simple and very good service. The hotel is a little dated but this kind of adds to its charm in a funny way!
nothing it was clean and exellent service what else can you want!
Very comfortable and relaxing. We initailly booked for two nights whilst en route to the south coast. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating. It was so enjoyable we booked for another three nights on our return journey home in the Lake District which proved equally enjoyable.
The rooms were very clean and comfy. Lovely little village close to Warwick, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-avon. Good Breakfast. Leisure suite closed during our stay, which was why we had such a great deal on a triple room!
The receptionist didn't know about where to eat in the village. Leisure suite closed for our stay.
The decor is well dated , dowdy, dark, and badly needs updateing.
Pool and Gynasium was closed. Not happy about this as it was advertised as having said facilities. I could of gone to many places without a pool/gymnasium for better value. The pool/gynasium was the facilities that made me purchase the booking for this particular hotel.
There was a private function taking place on the night I stayed which was very noisy and went on till 1am. If I had known about this when I booked I would not have considered staying that night.
